My wife and I met Paul Mitford of Mitford Homes one dreary spring day in 2004. We had been looking at homes, new and used, mostly southeast of Indianapolis for a couple of years without any success. We met Paul at one of his models in the Cedar Creek Estates addition in New Palestine. We were immediately impressed by the amenities that were included in the base price of his homes. Our impression of Paul was also very positive.
This being the third time we had undertaken major residential construction, we felt comfortable and capable of dealing with the new home construction process. After a couple more meetings with Paul, we made the decision to contract with Mitford Homes for our new home. Deciding factors were the quality and amenities of the home itself, location, and most important was Paul himself and the immediate feeling of trust we felt could be placed in him.
Construction would not begin for another year, solely due to the time it took us to sell our existing home. During this time, Paul really exceeded his obligation to us by his patience and support. We had made a down payment on a very premium lot which I’m sure he could have sold many times over.
We finally started the construction in the spring of 2005. The entire process was almost painless, for Paul was there to solve the myriad of issues that always occur during construction. Again and again, Paul’s experience and knowledge was always evident. Every issue that arose, large and small, Paul efficiently and effectively corrected; many before we even were aware of them. His subcontractors and employees were a mirror of Paul himself and his commitment to quality. The construction time went as promised and dove-tailed with our timeline perfectly.
We have been in our home over a year and what few issues we had after moving in were cheerfully corrected to our satisfaction. All and all, the entire process from beginning to end was a most pleasant and rewarding experience. Our home is truly our dream come true. Paul Mitford, his wife Wendy, and his entire organization have our utmost respect and appreciation.
